A few months back I started a group on Facebook called “Quilty Bloggers and Instagrammers Support Group“. The idea of the group was to provide a safe place for people who blog and instagram about their passion for quilting to come together and share ideas, provide encouragement and accountability for their goals and to make new friends.
The group has been growing in leaps and bounds and I’m so proud of all the things that we’re doing together. We share a lot of information and experiences about our blogging journeys and it’s been a really great way to see how each of us approach blogging.
One of the things that we all recognise is the need to have a break over the holiday period, but this can be hard when you still need to have a reason for people to visit your blog. So to help with that I’ve decided to host a guest blog post swap.
Here’s how it will work:
1. You sign up to the swap via this link. Sign up’s close Friday 12 December at 8pm AEST.
During the sign up process you will be asked if there’s a question you would like to be included on the questionnaire. There’s no guarantee that this will be included, the questions will be capped at 20, but where possible I’d like the questionnaire to reflect those that are participating.
2. You will be sent a questionnaire, of a maximium 20 questions, which you will need to complete and return to your host coordinator (me) by Monday 15 December at 5pm AEST.
Questionnaire will be completed via Google Docs to help make it easier for everyone. You must answer a minimum of 10 of the questions asked. Answers need to be more than one word in length. This is about getting to know you and share your brand of awesome with the world.
Answers cannot contain profanity, nudity, racism, sexism or anything else that people may find offensive. If in doubt, please contact the swap coordinator.
You will need to provide links to at least 6 images that bloggers can use to accompany the blog post. These images can either be stored in Drop Box, Flickr or Photobucket. These images need to be of publishing quality, so this means they have to be clear and no small then 300px wide. They cannot contain images of children, they cannot breach copyright and they must be 100% your own work.
3. You will be sent your guest blog posts by Thursday 18 December 8pm AEST (sooner if possible).
4. You must publish the guest posts you have been sent between 20 December 2014 – 4 January 2015.
If you have any problem with the quality of content you were provided you will need to take this up with the guest poster in the first instance, if you are unable to reach a resolution you can contact the swap coordinator to come up with a workable solution.
